Chevrolet told us that they’re aiming at people that would usually consider a little turbo hot hatch such as a VW GTI, Ford Focus ST or Honda Civic Type R, or possibly a Subaru BRZ or Toyota 86.Expect pricing to be somewhere in the neighborhood of $30,000 to $35,000 when it goes on sale later in the year.

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I really would consider a 4-pot Camaro if I were shopping in that segment.
The Alpha chassis amazes me more and more as it takes home autocross championships and matches 911 Turbo’s around handling circuits.
And thanks to that little motor, it’s shockingly light. 3300lbs is on par with the WRX, which is made of spit and tracing paper.

It’ll be a bargain once it sits on the lot for a year and you can pick it up for $20k. An ugly one, but a bargain.
